Iran velvet mountain in clouds

Makhmal-Koh (velvet mountain) is an eye-catching and popular destination among tourists visiting the Iranian province of Lorestan.

Lichen that grows on the rock surface of Makhmal-Koh in spring made this mountain a fitting candidate for velvet as its local name.
